Medical marijuana is legal in the State of New Mexico. To qualify for a marijuana card you must be a resident of New Mexico and be diagnosed with an incapacitating medical condition. The New Mexico Department of Health administers the New Mexico medical cannabis program.
To apply for a Registry Identification Card residents must fill out a Medical Cannabis Application Form, provide a Medical Certification Form, Release of Medical Information Form, Clinical/Diagnostic Notes Form completed by the Certifying Practitioner and/or Medical Records and a Valid NM issued Photo ID.
New Mexico permits qualified individuals to grow up to 16 Marijuana plants, but must register separately from the Registry Identification card using a Personal Production License Application.
