Michigan medical marijuana laws are governed by LARA the Department of licensing and Regulatory Affairs where they set up a registry called Michigan Medical Marihuana Program (notice the spelling Marihuana).

To obtain a medical marijuana card in Michigan you must get Physician Certification Form from a licensed physician and register with LARA by filling out the Application Form for Registry Identification Card and mailing it along with the Physician Certification Form, proper I.D. and fees to LARA.
