D.C.

Since Washington D.C. is a very small district, its recreational marijuana laws are available on the Metropolitan Police Department section of the DC.gov site. Recreational marijuana has been legal in Washington D.C. since 2014.

Adults 21 and over can posses up to two ounces of marijuana and grow up to six plants with only three being mature.

Medical marijuana information is available on the Department of Health section of the site. Patients only need a written recommendation with their primary care physician’s signature and license number to qualify. The online application requires you to provide the recommendation number and upload two forms of proof of residence and photo I.D.
